So I am watching The Changeling with Angelina Jolie (spoilers follow, although that shit came out like 4 years ago) and I have just gotten to the part where the mother is locked up in the asylum, and is pretty much told by the doctor, "Bitch, sign this statement saying that you were wrong and the police were right, or you are never getting out of here." Again, I'm paraphrasing.
A quick disclaimer, all the experience with contract law I have is from a highschool honors business law class (although I got a 98 in the class if that makes a difference). So, onto my point. The contract would be void under the principle of Undue Influence, not to mention that according to the doctor the woman is batshit crazy, making her legally incapable of entering into a contract. So, couldn't the bitch just sign the contract, get the hell out of the loony bin, and then take the contract to court and have it and the doctor metaphorically fucked in the ass?
I know it's a movie, but that's just my two cents.
